"We spent a week in Chang Mai staying at the Sleep Mai Lifestyle Hotel Thapae. We loved this hotel. It’s in a great location near the Tha Phae gate. This location made most places easily walkable or an easy place to be picked up by a Grab or Tour. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was modern and clean. Breakfast is wonderful. There is a pool for a refresh after a long day of sightseeing, however it is cold probably because it’s in a shaded area. "

"The room was honestly quite small, but it was clean, and both the air-conditioning and Wi-Fi worked very well. The staff’s attitude varied depending on the person. The first person we met always greeted us warmly and offered help whenever needed, which we really appreciated. However, others didn’t seem very attentive — even when we passed by in the morning, they stayed focused on their computers or phones, and we had to greet them first. "This hotel is very well located on the east side just outside Chiang Mai's old town. You can walk to Tha Pae gate which is very famous for photographs and that takes you into the old town. We got a room on the 6th floor with a beautiful view of the old town and Doi Suthep in the background - would definitely recommend asking for a room facing the west."
