Hotels in Waterton Park

"Check in was quick and easy. The property is a little dated but the location is prime. The bathroom looked updated and it was well heated and it was pleasant to have warm towels after a shower. We were lucky to go during the low season (before May 7) but there were only two restaurants open in the immediate area and one was right across the street! The hotel is walking distance to the general store, Cameron Falls, and to Bertha Trail! At night we walked across to road to the playground and had a perfect view of the night sky. Lots of wild life in the area. My one complaint is that it was noisy when we were there, we could hear the people in the joined rooms and there was outside noise too early in the morning (not certain if it was stuff being done on the property or nearby). "

"Beautiful setting, clean rooms. Good food in the restaurant. We stayed here 4 years ago and the beds were amazing but after this stay I think it’s time for new beds. If they do that I would definitely stay again."

"The gentleman at the front desk did not seem very happy to be doing his job. Was handed the key and told to have a good stay. Was told where our room was and where we could park only after having to ask thr clerk. After checking in and settling into our, I called the front desk asking for information on where to get ice. The same clerk said I could come to the restaurant to get some as the ice machine was broken. When I went to get ice I was only given enough ice for maybe two drinks. The clerk said the ice for the restaurant and was unable to give me more as I was not a paying customer of the restaurant. I told the clerk that was not fair or right. I should have been told at check in that if I needed ice that would be something the guest would need to go and buy. In the morning we phoned the front desk asking a noon check out. Was told by the same clerk "we need the room later." I wasnt asking for another full day, I was asking one extra hour. We were only given 30 additional minutes. Overall if there was a different clerk scheduled the experience would have been better."

"Room was clean except the flooring is pretty old carpet so that didn’t feel very clean. Bathroom was good. Breakfast was great, decent options and generous portions. Parking was easy and large lot so no issues there. Staff was super friendly and helpful."

"No one in the lobby. You had to call a phone number to get assistance for check-in. When we did that the gentleman was quite busy so we said we would go and have some dinner and then come back. Came back in an hour and there was a text message from him that the door to the room was propped open and the key was on the bed. Went into the room sheets were clean bed was clean, but the rest of the room really needed some work inside the microwave was very greasy. The fridge wasn’t plugged in. The whole room was just in need of a really good cleaning. It also needs a good update the curtains and the bedding, although clean were ancient and the inside of the window was absolutely filthy. We declined to shower in the tub because it was not very clean and the bathroom sink also needed some work. We will not stay there again nor would we recommend it. The young man who was in charge of the phone calls and leaving the key was pleasant. We text him later to please bring some extra pillows and a remote for the TV which he did so with a smile. The Room advertises cable and there is no cable in the room be aware if that’s important to you. We won’t stay there again, but it’s served its purpose."
