"Slight hiccup on arrival as room I had been given was not made up and I had to go back to reception to be given another room. The receptionist did come with me to check the second option and it was OK. Rooms do not have aircon, just a Desktop fan and a very small electric panel heater, which makes regulating temperature a bit tricky. I opened window to cool the room a bit, but this adds a bit of noise from airport and the road, for the nightly rate I would expect reverse cycle aircon. Restaurant food and wine was very good, but maybe just a little bit expensive. Bar and staff were very good. Check out very efficient and free courtesy bus to terminal was great."

"The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with many options. The setting of the hotel itself, and it's history was a experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. My only complaint is that the room we reserved was a bit outdated. The old tv had limited channels, dust bunnies here and there on the floor and the furniture was immensely outdated with scratches."

"Absolutely a great location - so convenient to the airport for an early morning flight. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Front station staff was great. Lobby music was a little loud and they definietly were trying to attract a young crowd. My only disapointment with this hotel was the weird and a bit confusing dining options. The signage wasn't very good on how to order and locating a menu. Granted we were tired from a long day and at the end of a very busy trip. But maybe a bit more signage to say "Menus here" and "Order here" would be helpful."

"Overall I cannot fault this place. The reason I have given only 4 stars and not 5 is for the fact the bar after 11pm will not accept card or cash payments for alcohol. All drinks to be added to your room. Plus levels of staff were low especially with the number's in the bar after a gig. Dont get me wrong, the staff who were working were great. Just needed more."

"We had two different rooms during our stay because of availability. The first was a standard room and it was OK, a bit tired but nice enough. But the mattress was so hard, terribly uncomfortable and we did not sleep well. The second room was a larger one with a king and a single bed. Much nicer and the bed was comfortable. Overall the place was good at the price. Location was convenient, right near the train station, only one stop to Old Town and plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The staff were all helpful, moved our bags between the two rooms, booked us a cab etc."

"Very nice hotel, good location, very handy for train at Haymarket and short walk to heart of city. Clean and comfortable. Free tea and coffee available 24 hours. Very quiet so got a great night's sleep. Would recommend."
