The area is magnificent. It's very picturesque. If you live in a crowded city like I do, you've never seen stars the way you can see them here. Sky was covered. Air was fresh, and the forest was amazing! Just incredible views in every aspect.

We loved the Grand Canyon village and getting to stay in the park! It really made our experience more enjoyable not having to drive in/out of the park each day. The bus system was also extremely helpful getting around.

Rent an e-bike from Bright Angel Bicycle and travel to Hermit's Rest. Make time to watch the sunsets from one of the many viewing spots at the canyon rim. Check out a night sky event. Hike below the rim.

Local food options are limited - steak, pasta, and cafeteria-esque options. If you want light and fresh - only maybe one or two places exist for lunch, but not dinner.

Lots of nice shops and places to eat. Very convenient to get around. The blue route picks you where your staying then you can get on the red route or yellow route to view the different points of the Grand Canyon. Not a lot of walking required.

There's restaurants and a general store with food, camping and hiking items, and souvenirs. It was all beautiful.

We had a great time with our visit at Grand Canyon last weekend. We didn't have any heat in our room and we didn't discover this until we were getting ready to go to bed. The management had us change rooms. We did have noisy neighbors above us.

I didn't realize that I booked the one week in the winter when the park would be wall to wall people! It was crazy just how many people were there! I've not seen it this busy before. Yavapai dinning hall actually ran out of food!

The no lighting policy throughout the park is appreciated for star gazing but somewhat difficult for seeing turns at night driving or even walking. It would be nice if they could put in solar lights on the walkways.

I love the Grand Canyon and this lodge is easy to stay at, close to the visitor center and transportation. We stayed up there for the Star Party and it was amazing.

"We stayed in Yavapi East and would do so again. No microwave but the place was clean, comfortable, could open windows, had ac. Made our stay at the GC restful. "
"Fantastic spot with easy access to the surrounding area. Staff was friendly and helpful from the front desk to the dining areas. Would stay there again.. "
"We loved our stay at Maswick Lodge. The room was very clean and spacious. We loved the balcony that opens up straight on to a green outdoor area. We really enjoyed the whole rustic vintage vibe of the lodges and it really added to our Grand Canyon experience.
We also enjoyed eating at their dining facilities. It was practical.
I would totally recommend Maswick lodge and I would come back again. "
"The hotel was very nice. Comfortable, clean. The atrium was amazing. The food was good. The customer service was outstanding. Cost was a little more than I usually pay, but worth every dime."
