"The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.Breakfast and evening meals were excellent. Parking was easy. We were able to walk into town along the canal which runs along the rear of the hotel in 5- 10 minutes. Very enjoyable stay."

"Clean room, lovely bar, nice range of drinks. Nice sunday dinner, great atmosphere, log fire bar. Breakfast was the usual cereals etc, bacon, toast, sausage was Richmond (not my preferred). Nice fresh croissants and goot drink selection I have stayed before and will stay again due to price, location, lovely romantic stay"

"Checkin was horrendous. First room was unmade, there was bedlinen lining the corridors & numerous guests were irritated that their room was not ready. Checkin is at 4 but my room was not ready until. The bed was very uncomfortable & the room was cold (with a pathetic small oil heater to try & heat it). "

"The hotel is very dated and needs decorating. Our shower hardly worked as the water just dripped out. The bed was comfy and the bedding and towels were lovely and clean. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was very good. The downstairs bars were cluttered with things and needed a good clear out, this made it not very inviting to have a drink. The hotel is in an ideal place in the centre of town which was ideal for what we wanted. "
