"We checked in after staying at La Vela, with excellent support from Jan who is friendly, fun and very professional. We'd been allocated a villa - fantastic upgrade. If you can afford it, go for it! The rooms are enormous and luxurious. Everything you could ask for is there. The grounds are beautiful, manicured and lush. The pools are huge with so many sunbeds both poolside and beach side you'll be spoiled for choice. It's so perfect that I'm half afraid to return in case it's not so good next...

"It's a unique property where the rainforest meets the beach. The swimming pools are awesome and the resort is expansive. They have a fantastic spa also. Enjoyed our stay here and strolls along the beach."

"Beautiful beach, comfortable bed & good shower, clean & perfect for what we needed. Food was good in the Similan restaurant & breakfast also really good. Staff were friendly & helpful. Was a 400thb taxi ride into bang Niang night market so away from the centre but quiet for us & a short transfer to the pier for the early bird Similan island tour we booked in advance. "I stayed 6 nights, room was cleaned only one time. Had to ask for water, breakfast was supposed to be included but I never saw any breakfast. View from room from one window looks at a pond with runoff water from a bunch of buildings draining into it day and night. Ive been in Thailand for 4 months in the last year, its a fantastic place with wonderful people but I would not return here. "
