"As expected given the price this is far from an upmarket area. The rooms were small but clean. Initially I was given a not very nice room with an ensuite that was more like an alcove with no shower but was fortunately moved to a better one. We had to navigate building works to get into the property and then walk on a raised wooden walkway. The place was clean and the staff pleasant and helpful"

There was a moldy smell and some spots in the roof. Breakfast was just ok. We had dinner there one evening, which was very good. Pool area is very nice. "

The owner was stingy with the electric and lied to us and told us that the air-conditioning/hot water wasn’t working.She told us to be mindful of the kilowatts that we’re using. It was discovered(By me) that the circuit breaker was turned off so that customers cannot use the air-conditioning/hot water heater. And it was well hotter(stinky...

"Altogether everything was okay. Though the statys of the washing area was not in good condition. The sink and washing washing machine had mould all over and this makes one doubt the cleanliness of the towels and and beddings washed in it. Considering the size of the property, 15 units of electricity was not enough for 3 nights yet there was 9 of us in the property. Wifi was selective on some phones. Water dispenser was not replenished. You need to consider the size of the family before rationing...

" We enjoyed our stay in Baobab resort hotel. The room were very clean and the staff were very courteous. Its family friendly as your have appartement options. We just wished it was a beach front hotel as stated on the pictures. We will nevertheless recommend it "

"Host took an hour to arrive to give access to the room. Apartment was filthy. Electricity kept going out so the host would ask the guest to top up. Nothing worked in the apartment and eventually given a refund in darkness. The host is rude, unprofessional lacks respect and part of the decline of Mombasa as a tourist hotspot. Expedia should ban such hosts "
