My friend and I spent a lot of time in the accommodation and auxiliary facilities, as it was such a wonderful accommodation to just fall asleep and leave."

"We stayed in a twin room and the room is really spacious. Also love the public bath, though small, it’s clean and serves its purpose. Breakfast is simple and not a lot of choices. But the food is fresh. They might wish to have a larger flask for the coffee though, as it seems to run out frequently. Parking is very convenient, right in front of the hotel. Hotel is also conveniently located along the main road, with a 7-11 next door. Will definitely stay again if I visit Shimada in future. "

"Our goal for our trip to Japan was to hike Mount Fuji, but one of the unexpected highlights was our stay at the Kappo Ryokan Uoichi! "Lovely hotel, with excellent Japanese breakfast, and kind and helpful staff always willing to go out of their way to help bewildered foreign children. (They even let us check in early when they saw how exhausted my son was.) Rooms also very reasonably priced!"
