"Mondrian Hotel, a jewel in Itaewon. Very friendly staff, nice big indoor pool (also for kids) and nice atmosphere especially in the lobby with music and nice interior. You can walk to lively Itaewon for more restaurants and shops. A few bus lines pass close to the hotel, which make it convenient to for example to Seoul Station and airports ( by changing once into airport railroad). Thank you to all the staff, making our stay rememberable. "

We had booked in advance, and once we arrived, we were told there was an overbooking so one of us had to sleep on the floor, and the other took someone else’s previously claimed bed (as instructed to do so). Because of this, we were upgraded to a private room for what was supposed to be the rest of our stay, but were then moved back down to the dorms just 2 nights later (which turns out, was overbooked again). "The room was bare minimum but it was really roomy and had all the amenities for a weekend trip. The hotel and the area felt a little tired and the lobby shuts down after 2300 hours. So when you arrive after hours, they have your room key at the counter. The great perk was that the subway was just outside the hotel. There was a historical home a block away, behind the gas station that was truly a gem. The area is totally walkable and if you’re tired of Korean food, there is a Burger King next...
