"Fantastic property with lots of amenities and easy bus link to the old town and restaurants in Lapad. Pool and spa were fantastic and the buffet breakfast amazing. Maro World (when open in season) was great for the kids as well. Only slight blemish was the smell of cigarette smoke that permeated through the hotel room corridors which was really quite unpleasant, but I’m not sure what could be done about that. "

Hotel Sumratin

"We stayed for 8 nights and overall had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel is new, modern and in a good location. Our room had a lovely balcony, and the air conditioning throughout the hotel was excellent. The breakfast buffet was one of the highlights, with a fantastic selection and everything you could imagine. The rooftop pool area is also lovely, with a bar and restaurant. The food was very good, although service could be quite slow as the same staff seemed to serve both the pool and restaurant. Drinks were expensive and unfortunately the beer was never properly cold. The concierge service was disappointing. We asked about day trips and boat tours but were mainly told that everything would require a full day. We eventually booked independently outside the hotel and found options that suited us much better. The sauna is great, but having to book it in advance was frustrating. Reception told us it was fully booked one day, but when we went directly to the spa, it was actually empty and we were able to use it. Overall, a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities and breakfast, but the service and organisation could be improved."

"The hotel is in a perfect location, close to the Old Town by bus and opposite a beautiful pebble beach. The customer service in the hotel is exceptional, staff are so polite, welcoming and attentive to your needs. The cocktails in the upstairs bar are amazing, only equalled by the view from the same! Hotel Kompas make your stay feel so special, thank you so much!!"

"The hotel grounds were beautiful and it probably had one of the best beaches on the coastline. There is no elevators we were on the 3rd floor but they will help with luggage. Croatia is warm in the summer but we were there during a heat wave even for them. The room a/c was adequate but not great The hallways were very warm. Your not able to tip on your credit card so keep plenty of small euros. All in all the location was great and the place was so beautiful we could overlook some of its shortcomings."
