I like a simple, somewhat spartan room. My bed was comfortable and I could recharge my phone and fitbit. Shared bathrooms are not for everybody but they provided a nice robe for trips to and from and the showers were fine. Had fun with the staff at breakfast.
The central place to stay in Basel. Right next to the central train station. Staff is very helpful and professional. It was not a problem at all to switch to a room with separate beds on short notice. Only stayed one night with an early departure by S-Bahn.

What a gem of a hotel, right in the heart of Basel! I loved everything about the Nomad, from the free sparkling water to the extremely helpful staff and the fabulous restaurant.
