Hotels in Upper Grand Lagoon

"We had no water for over 15 hours while the staff tried to fix it themselves instead of calling a licensed plumber. We were told by staff who were extremely rude the main was out and all of the business around us had no water as well . That was a lie it was just our hotel . Then after it was fixed had no hot water for half of the next day . There were no apologies from staff what so ever ! Property needs serious landscaping and cleanup ! Only nice thing was the view . I would never stay here again or recommend it ! "

"The beach view was excellent! That was the best thing about the property. The hotel needs a lot of renovations. We were told that housekeeping would service our room after 2 days, but they did not. I had to go down to the front desk to request service and even then, when housekeeping came to our room, they were only going to give us clean towels. I had to ASK them to service our room. Again, the view was excellent, but this hotel definitely needs some interior painting, new interior doors, and other renovations."

"The rooms were clean, but where the people were coming in from the beach was sandy as were the elevators and eventually that sand was tracked into the room. The staff was really friendly, curteous and helpful. The room was quiet and the outside noise was non existent. We got a really good nights sleep. From the room you could tell that it was an aging facility and needed an update. We had our phones, my hearing aid cases and there was not enough outlets to plug them in."

"This hotel was horrible. The front door had a huge gap on the bottom, we had to use towels to cover it. The balcony door was broken. You could not close the bathroom door because they put a fan in the cieling that stopped the door. The room was musty smelling. The wall had cracks, the cieling had bubbles in it where there was a leak. The lamp shade was stained. the elevator was broken and it would get stuck. Overall I would never stay here again."

"The breakfast was exquisite, the service was friendly, the common areas were comfortable, and the pool was pleasant—an accessible place to have a good time in Panama City."

"Pools are kind of grimy. You get what you pay for and the place was affordable. The partial ocean view was beautiful, facing the sunset and a large expanse of beach to view. They give you bars of 20 year old scentless soap. No shampoos, body wash or conditioner Bring coffee and small filters if you want some in the morning. Kitchenettes do not provide dish soap. Food on property was too salty to consume. Ice cream was good but two small cones was nine bucks. Gift shop has everything you may have forgotten and smells phenomenal. We won’t stay again, but it’s not awful. You get what you pay for, just like everywhere else. I wil say that it felt like the redneck riviera in all of the public spaces. But there’s a lot for kids, and it’s a great option for families looking to go to the beach and not have to really leave the property."

"We will definitely being going back. Usually stay in main part on front beach road just to get stuck in traffic. Loved the area and not far from everything. The little private beach was so nice and quiet. Loved it!!"
