This is the second time I’ve been back to this property. The owner is a lovely man. The breakfast is excellent. You can open a bottle of wine and enjoy it in the beautiful garden.
Great location, few steps away from the Castellabate central square, amazing to explore this small charming city. Kitchen in the suite room available and nice balcony with a sea view. Overall would recommend if you are in Castellabate!
One of the highlights of our trip to Italy was our stay at the Palazzo Belmonte. We arrived at the end of the season, but the weather was still warm and sunny. With only a few guests, it felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was enchanting walking around the deserted courtyards and grounds of the villa on the edge of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
We had read a few recent bad reviews posted after we made our reservations and were a little worried about the conditions. I would like to refute them....
Wonderful, charming place to stay. Luigi, the proprietor, and his daughter, Rita (the Rita is her grandmother), are such wonderful people - you will love them and the great atmosphere at this beautifully appointed B&B/hotel. Walking distance to the archaeological site, which is one of the best you'll see. Features the Diver's Tomb, the only intact Greek tomb. Hooray for Villa Rita - a wonderful find!
This hotel was refreshingly pleasant & modern. It is attentively run by a local family.
Located one block in from the 1.5 kilometer beach.
No noisy bars or motorcycles- but lots of cafes & restaurants.
There is the unusual bonus of underground parking.
Train station in walking distance as well as the ‘Old Town’
I was in a room for one, with a sunset view balcony. I peeked in the larger suites, some of which have ample outdoor space. Nice for couples and/or families.

The Savoy Hotel far exceeded our expectations. The staff were wonderful and the hotel is incredibly beautiful. The breakfast was spectacular but the highlight was Beach Club 93, where you get access to an excellent beach, pool and restaurant that is walking distance from the hotel. They also had private parking which was super convenient with a baby. The hotel is not cheap, but it is excellent for a luxury stay.
The family and the animals are friendly and care for you well. Unfortunately the walls are paper thin so when someone sneezes in the next room it will wake you up. I was happy that most of the time I stayed here alone. There is a fantastic view of the hillside village Altavilla Silentina. I was glad to spend the two weeks driving around to learn more about the area as I was thinking about buying a home here, but the level of local poverty means it would be difficult to get services here. A pretty amazing place. Looks very luxurious, the restaurant and the meal was super fancy and yet very reasonably priced. We couldn’t understand why the place was mostly empty, but we stayed mid-week, and the place clearly caters to Italians (even the spa menu was only in Italian). The air-conditioning in the room was not very strong and very noisy, but otherwise very nice room.
