"This is a very cool old hotel in the heart of old town Guadalajara, just across from the theater, and very centrally located to many of the town's attractions, including Mercado Libertad, the Cathedral, and Teatro Degollado, which is a beautiful building you can see from the Terrace! It's also easy to take a bus or train to get to other parts of town. I was amazed to learn it was a former convent that was converted to a hotel about a hundred years ago, and the age and history of the building...

"This was a great hostal to stay in with our medium-sized dog as there was a large outdoor space on the upper terrace with a nice sitting area and lots of plants. The room itself was simple, clean, and comfortable. The shared bathroom was very basic, but fine for our needs. The shared kitchen was clean and well-stocked. The staff and other guests were friendly and we enjoyed our stay very much. Well-situated in the hip La Americana neighbourhood with lots of great restaurants, bars, and cafés...
