"Charmerende. Dejligt værelse med udsigt til poolen. Vær opmærksom på at nogen værelser har vinduer højt, så man ikke kan se ud (kælderen). Flere grupper af stole/borde udenfor, så man kunne sidde og hygge. Flinke værter. Morgenmad ok, men der manglede hele tiden noget (var der i 3 dage). I området var der gode afmærkede vandrerstier. Et stort supermarked. "

"The site is amazing, with the hotel's buildings scattered artfully across a number of terraces that traverse the steep hillside. Our room was spacious and comfortable and even had a lovely balcony facing the Douro. The big pool was gorgeous and a delight to swim in. Our only meals on site (two breakfasts and one dinner) were buffet-style--perfectly acceptable but nothing special."

"The hotel is rather small (a very good thing for me!), but the room I had was large and the bathroom too. It was modern and very clean, with A/C. It was called Mallus and had a French door to the street which meant I had to have the blind down all the time for privacy, really the only drawback to it all. The breakfast is very good, fresh, and the manager very kind and dedicated. I highly recommend!"

"Beautiful place to stay. Phillip and his mom (and the whole staff) go out of their way to make you comfortable. We were in a room with the view of a lifetime! Homecooked meals for dinner, and the breakfast had fresh bread brought from the local bakery which was the best we had in Portugal. Pool was so refreshing, we were there during a heatwave. Air-conditioning in the room worked well. Bed was comfortable."

"What a fabulous break we have just had thanks to Manual and his team. This is a family run , small Vinyard in a stunning location. We even had a little tour of the old house which is dating back 19 generations of the family. We booked on the day while touring the area. The rooms are brand new , inside old barns and buildings. Small but just what we needed as we had a large pool and garden just near the room. The breakfast was excellent. Served by really nice staff. We went for the dinner and...
