"Escaping to the country has never been more fun and magical. The resident robin and all his many friends keep you in that chilled mindset. The town of Rye was 10 mins by car and full of historical charm. It was even being used for filming while we visited. We walked from Rye to Camber sands along the cycle path and there are frequent buses back. "

"I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The historic building is incredibly unique and full of character. We stayed in a top-floor room, which offered beautiful views. The best part? The bathroom had an extra door/window that opened directly out onto the rooftop! I know it’s technically a fire escape, but it made the experience so special and memorable.Also, the breakfast was outstanding. "The lodges are spotless, spacious, well equipped and very well situated for many attractions. The included in-room breakfast was very generous and varied. Porridge, cereal, fruit yoghurt, croissants with jam and orange juice. Tea and coffee. There is a personal picnic bench outside the door to enjoy it in the sunshine with the birds singing. The pub did great food in a lovely dining room. -it’s perfect and we will come back soon"

"A lovely places to stay in prime location for Rye and Camber. The room was well laid out, clean and the bed extra comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and the restaurant/bar had a great ambiance. The staff were so helpful. The only let down was that the shower was scalding and could not be turned down, meaning neither of us could was our hair or shower properly. "

"Exactly what we wanted! A relaxing, comfortable and quiet weekend away with friends. Great wine in the bar while overlooking the spring garden. The bedrooms were perfect. Massive king bed and a good shower. Very quiet in the bedrooms too. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel as well. Everything was cooked to perfection and arrived in a timely manner. "If you want an authentic old English Hotel then this is for you. It was really old with oak beams everywhere but still clean. Pub seems to be the Hub of the village so also a good vibe. The village is really really quiet"
