"This hotel was probably very nice 30 or 40 years ago but quite tired. Staff is minimal and I waited for over 30 minutes to checkin. Then went down to use the spa at 1800 and no people were around. No towels. Another guest said after 1800 it was necessary to go to the front desk for towels. No staff around for another 30 minutes. Several of the spa facilities were shutdown or not functioning. The whole reason I went to this hotel was that it was rated as 4 star!! It was far from a 3...

"This is a very classy & elegant hotel.The rooms are quite small, but extremely charming & very clean. We had a river view & it was exquisite!! The staff were mostly very pleasant & accommodating.

"It was overall of excellent standards however beds not exactly comfortable and pillows were extremely soft (in a bad way) and beds did not seem to be straight as we got the sensation that the head part was collapsing making you feel like you are sleeping upside down. Also, extremely gimmicky to use lifts due to different cards and designated lifts for different areas. Having said that, staff was incredibly polite and professional, they accommodated a very special request to fantastic standards...

" Very nice, clean, quiet, good size room and comfortable bed. Staff was very accommodating. Good walkable neighborhood and convenient to tram stop. 2 very good restaurants at tram stop, maybe a 5 minute walk from hotel. "
