This is one of the great properties in and around Quito. It really is a hidden gem. The chef, and we're not foodies, is amazing. All the meals are works of art and very tastefully presented. Luis, our chef, also conducted tours around the place and shared the overly interesting history of the place. If you are looking for something unique, this fits the bill. Somewhat difficult to arrive at, back roads, hilly, rough, but able to travel in any type of car. We took a taxi in and the manager gave...
Phenomenal property and staff who went the extra mile to make you feel at home and also assist with all your needs during stay. Complementary SUV ride back to airport was a special touch. Classy staff and classy hotel - will recommend to all business associates and clients.
This hotel is an old hacienda from 1910 with a cool nature trail. There is a great breakfast provided in lovely dining room with a fire place. The land scape is nicely maintained with pretty flowers and birds all around.
We even were feeding llamas with carrots. It is all plesantly surprising finding for the hotel within 15 min from the airport.
The advice: take the transportation arranged by the hotel for a reasonable fee. They will even meet you in the airport. Do not be put off by the...
I had the pleasure of staying for two nights. I had a number of medical issues as related to my diet. Every request was made with a smile. When I left I had to be at airport at 4am.
No problem... They made a special breakfast to order. The whole grounds are immaculate.
The main 'casa' is loaded with amazing artwork. Paintings sculptures etc. You literally can spend an hour looking thru one of their sitting areas and then look again and realize you missed a dozen objects. I can't figure out how...
I somehow thought this would be closer to the airport, but it was about a 30 minute drive. Nevertheless, Llalo was very clean, safe, professionally operated and the breakfast on the porch was ideal. The rates were appropriate for the lodging. I highly recommend it.
Beautiful authentic boutique hotel. I had to stay one night on my way to Galapagos and did not want to stay at one of those chain modern places. This hotel is very charming, with hammocks outside and place to walk safely on the property. Bonus airport transfer included. Onsite restaurant open till 10PM with great food.
LOVED OUR STAY HERE!
Very clean, neat, & the staff was absolutely fantastic!! Food was great! Oh the saunas were so so so relaxing.
The only reason I checked off the area outside of the property being unsafe is that Ecuador was under marshall law so we did not feel safe outside the hotel. BUT WE FELT TOTALLY SAFE & COMFORTABLE INSIDE!!!
Did I mention how friendly the staff were!!!!!
Cannot wait to came back!
the place is a piece of paradise. Even though it is a little ways off, it is worth it.
If you like nature and luxury at the same time, this is the place to be. Make sure to ask the staff to turn on the fireplace.
I arrived very late. The hotel owner was there to greet me and check me in. They accommodated a later breakfast time. Was very happy and would stay again!
The hotel was lovely! The grounds are beautiful, with fruit trees and flowers. There is a nice area around the hot tub to sit and relax and two swings if you have children. The breakfast was very nice; fresh fruit bowl, freshly made juice, scrambled eggs and toast with butter and jam. The coffee and hot water for tea are on all day. When we asked for milk for our coffee, we were served warmed milk! How nice!
The service and staff could not be more accommodating and warm - we really...
I was very impressed with both the people and the facilities. I traveled alone to a place that was completely strange to me. I never felt alone. Everyday at breakfast (very tasty) the staff made sure that my plan for the day would work. They had a sincere interest in my well being and my experience in Ecuador. I would whole heartedly recommend this hotel. They made my trip wonderful.
I’ve traveled all over the world, five countries in the last 12 months. I have to say that this hotel had the best customer service I’ve ever seen. I was treated like a king as a regular traveler. I never leave reviews but I want the next traveler to Quito to find this gem.
