"We had the pleasure of staying at La Posada del Arte for three nights in mid-August during our family trip to Ecuador. Our group included an 8-year-old and parents in their 90s, so finding accommodations that could suit a wide range of needs was important — and this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way.
We booked our stay about a month in advance and drove down from Quito. We were happy to find ample street parking available directly outside the hotel at all hours of the day. From the moment we arrived, Carl, his wife, and staff greeted us with warmth and genuine hospitality. They quickly got us settled and were incredibly accommodating when we needed to switch one of the rooms due to mobility concerns for one of our elderly parents. Their thoughtful assistance made all the difference in making our stay comfortable and stress-free. The grounds and rooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. We especially loved the rooms on the second floor, which offered a spectacular view of a nearby waterfall — beautifully lit at night, creating a magical atmosphere. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and we were pleasantly surprised by the strong water pressure in the showers — something that had been lacking in other places we stayed in Ecuador.
The location of La Posada del Arte couldn’t be better. It's just a short walk to many of Baños’ charming restaurants, cafés, and local shops. One of the highlights of our stay was the wonderful breakfast served each mornin"
" We had river view room with hammock - AMAZING Great location around Banos & Waterfalls, room very clean, beds avg, breakfast delicious and front desk extremely helpful with all actions."
"This is a boutique like hotel. The property is very clean. I can tell that they take pride with the upkeep of the place and the staff is very kind. The location is great; near a park, a bank, and many dining options…but I think location is the same for most all hotel accommodations in this town because you can pretty much walk to every single thing in the city from any given point.
We arrived to the hotel very early, were allowed to leave our luggage and we went to have breakfast at a nearby restaurant, returned to the hotel and sat in the lobby area (we were exhausted), a lady who I believe to be the owner stopped by and allowed us to check in early. Thank goodness for her. We really appreciated that.
My only real issue was the water in the bathroom; we stayed in RM308. The water was always freezing from the sink (no hot or warm water there) and the shower water was a hassle to regulate, either extremely cold or scolding hot, I had to turn it off and on, off and on to complete my shower, because warm water only lasted about 90 seconds before going to either, too cold or too hot. There is also a condensation issue in the bathroom; everything (from the walls, mirror, toilet, sink, etc.) stayed wet, for several hours. I think a humidifier, or a way to crack open a window (in the bathroom), could help solve that problem. However, if I did ever return to Baños, I would still consider staying at Hotel Agave again.

"The staff was very friendly and helpful! They had breakfast ready for us when we wanted it, called to have bikes delivered for us, and asked if we needed anything else. It was close to the thermal pools and quiet part of town. We enjoyed our stay!"
