Colmar is a gem in the heart of Alsace. It is a lovely town and very popular during Christmastime. The surrounding country-side has many quaint villages and lots of vineyards to visit. Overall, a lovely location in France!

Colmar matches all of the photos of it and is even better in reality. The covered market is a highlight, with good food stalls in a fabulous building at the side of the river.

The little Venice was disappointing as the water was stagnant and the boats looked old, nothing like Venice. The town in itself is extremely beautiful. Transportation is an issue though. Hard to get taxi or Uber or a bus to explore other villages on.

Colmar is a gem so naturally many, many people want to visit. Perhaps consider going in May or September to avoid the summer and Christmas Market crowds.

This was a second visit to Colmar for Christmas markets, this year was overcrowded. Would recommend coming earlier in the season in the future.

Beautiful town, not much to do after 19:00 since everything but restaurants or bars close.

This is the best Christmas festival I've ever been to, bar none. If you're into that kind of thing, just go here. Trust me on this.

I love the city. We must visit it at Easter, in summer and around Christmas.
"Wow what a place. The hotel wonderful. The staff are welcoming and so polite. Our room was so spacious and clean. There is an indoor pool which was very welcome but very popular with guests. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
Colmar is stunning. So much to see. We loved Little Venice. "
"We stayed as a family with 2 kids. I was misled by the word ‘Spa’ in the name. There is no spa. These are cheaply renovated apartments. Very much low end. Luckily we only stayed 1 night."
"Stayed at the hotel for 4 nights for a family tip. It’s conveniently located close to the center, but far enough to be really quiet at night. The rooms were clean and updated and the front desk staff was friendly. Parking is located at the supermarket parking lot, which is accessible to anyone. I didn’t have any issues with that, but this might be an issue for some people. "
"Lovely modern styling in a collection of ancient buildings. Very attentive staff who speak good English.
Limited parking so may well have to drop luggage and park elsewhere.
Hotel is right in the little Venice area surrounded by medieval streets and great restaurants."
