Dover is a nice community and we found the people there welcoming and friendly. The castle and cliffs are amazing. We spent an entire day at the castle. The kids loved the activities & playground.

Easy walk into town. 30 mins up hill walk gets you to the castle. Fun watching the ferries come and go

Dover is beautiful, we explored Dover castle, the white cliff, and went to Simpson wine estate for wine tasting. Dover is a city where you would visit once and say you've been but probably wouldn't go again. Unless you love the nature side of it!

We went into Deal which is a short drive from the hotel. Deal is pretty and busy and well worth a visit. It even has a castle. Dover castle is one of the best as well. Well worth a visit.

I was only there for one night but this B and B is just down the hill from the castle which I thouroughly enjoyed even though it was a drizzly day. Just around the corner is many restaurants and I walked the next morning to the ferry port.

Dover is a great place to use as a base. A gateway to the UK which really should be improved and more welcoming.

"I’ve got to say the service was 10/10 and I think it was the assistant manager who went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy and got everything they needed, will definitely be going back "
"We had such a pleasant experience staying here. The room was clean and quiet. John is an excellent concierge and provided the best recommendations on things to do during our stay in Dover! Highly recommended!"
"Fantastic location and gorgeous room. While the service was efficient, it felt more transactional than welcoming, which made the experience less personal than I’d hoped."
"We only stayed for one night as catching a ferry early in the morning, we were leaving before breakfast so they kindly made us food to take with us. Overall the staff the Room and food were all excellent. Would 100% stay again. "
"Really friendly welcome at reception and we quickly got our keys for two twin rooms. The rooms were fine, clean and comfortable.
We used the hotel to stay overnight before a Channel Tunnel crossing which was just 10 minutes away.
It was the cheapest hotel that I could find in the area and exceeded my expectations. The decor was improved from the hotel's appearance on Channel 4's "4 In A Bed" a few years previous.
Slightly disappointed that they don't offer breakfast, but Gingers in Hythe was excellent.
