Between the medieval walls of Cardiff Castle and the ultramodern curves of Wales Millennium Centre lies a city that refuses to be typecast. Wander through Cardiff Market where vendors hawk everything from Welsh cakes to vintage vinyl. The National Museum houses Impressionist masterpieces that would make Paris jealous, displayed with Welsh understatement. Park Plaza Cardiff
"Very helpful & polite staff. hotel was lovely although there were a lot of rubbish bags outside the entrance when we arrived & still there the next day. Our room was to the front of the hotel and on a Friday night the nightclub opposite is very noisy."
voco St David's Cardiff by IHG
"Great Hotel, great views and food excellent"
The Coach & Horses Hotel
"Very good stay close enough to Cardiff for our needs. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The pub was lovely for a last couple of drinks after a day out. Breakfast on the Sunday morning was good with quality produce."
Hotel Indigo Cardiff by IHG
"It was a good spot in Cardiff for a one night, after concert stay."
The Coal Exchange Hotel
"Nice old property. Staff lovely. Good location."
Four Points Flex by Sheraton Cardiff
"Did not like that our room on the third floor after getting off the lift required humping bags down two albeit short flights of stairs. Liked that there were lots of towels and that they let us drop our luggage until check in and again after noon check out (very civilized) It's a great location right next to Cardiff Central station so getting here and then getting to the airport was simple"
Village Hotel Cardiff
"Excellent facilities and breakfast."
Copthorne Hotel Cardiff-Caerdydd
"Will be pleased when the gym reopens Staff pleasant and helpful as always."
Novotel Cardiff Centre
"The family room was good, although the sofa bed is a little narrow for two teenagers. We had two nights in another budget chain prior to arriving at the Novotel, where they provide two single fold-up beds which we found to be a much better arrangement amd more comfortable for the children. The room was clean. The pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna are excellent and were very welcome. The food in the restaurant was good, only the service being a little slow let it down. We thought the hotel parking at £24 for the day was expensive, until looking at the local multi-story alternatives that were £31 a day?! There are a few spaces on the road outside that are free between 18:00-08:00 that you can take advantage of. We would definitely stay there again."
