"As expected solid hotel"

"I arrived at the hotel around 12pm, although check-in was not until 3pm. I was told I could check in earlier if I upgraded to a more expensive room, but I decided not to and instead left my luggage at reception before heading to a wedding. When I returned at around 11:30pm, I was checked in and given keys to my room. Unfortunately, once I got ready for bed, I realised the room was not particularly clean and was also extremely noisy. There was a lot of noise coming from reception, as well as constant sounds from what seemed to be water pipes running through or near the room. After a long day and late arrival back from the wedding, this made it very difficult to sleep, which was disappointing."

"Location and parking were brilliant. Not enough tables at breakfast to cater for people staying at hotel meant waiting for over 5 minute's."

"We were assigned the wrong room. Took ages to check in. Prices in the hotel were overpriced in the sense they were trying to be something more luxury than they were. Acted slightly snotty and pompous but their amenities did not reflect an expensive hotel. Had a nightmare with parking where they didn’t explain properly how to use their validation ticket and gave us one for the wrong car park so had to go back. Ordered drinks at the bar before going out and the guy behind the bar was swearing whilst making drinks that took 15 minutes to arrive. Would not recommend, avoid this hotel."

"Lovely boutique vibe at this motel behind Mollies Diner. Everything you want is provided with a smile, wonderfully comfortable bed in a clean stylish room and great shower. Complimentary tea & coffee & social area with 24hr bar in the lobby was a nice touch. Outdoor quad will be nice in the summer too. Will definitely use this chain again"

"Lovely hotel, elegant clean room. There was an excellent choice at breakfast in a spacious room. A huge bonus was Emmylou Harris and her band having breakfast together. The check in , check out, breakfast staff were really helpful even though the hotel was really busy. On the negative side, the room was a really long way from the lift and an event was going on with lots of loud music kept us awake until after midnight . Perhaps if you put the people attending the event on the 2nd floor so they aren’t in the noisy room would be helpful. Otherwise a treat to stay at the Marriott as I’ve only been there for conferences before. "

"Couple of small points that let the 5 star feel down - staff were incredible and lovely to interact with. Spa was nice - but few things broken over the 3 days was there. Car parking was just about ok with a full hotel. but overall - really nice stay - great place and location - would return if good offers to be had."
