"The hotel was absolutely amazing. The service was superb and the food was delicious. We enjoyed our stay very much.We loved the beds and the pillows , we slept really well. Also a special mention to Vishwa the naturalist who was outstanding with her informative wildlife tours which my 9 year old son enjoyed very much. The swimming pool was exceptionally good with a very natural feel and it was not too crowded. A great place to watch birds as you could see bee eaters, bulbuls etc and even monitor lizards. There is so much more to this place and we loved our stay there. We hope to return one day in the future."

"What a place!! We stayed as a family of 4 (2 children 10/12) in an Oceanfront view room. Large double bed and 2 day beds for the kids! Clean and well appointed with a daily freshen up! We had the best time. So relaxing! A much calmer/quieter stretch of coastline (away from the busyness of Hiriketiya/ Weligama etc. Nice infinity pool to laze about in and plenty of sun loungers/cabanas for sunning, reading, drinking. Ocean, beach and waves were amazing, however, there are some serious rips/currents in the water so you may only be able to paddle around. No water sports. You can however do plenty of day trips (fishing), Udawalawa (to see the Elephants), to other beaches where you can surf/snorkel, cooking classes and Galle (old fort town - with hundreds of shops, cafe’s and restaurants. There is a good breakfast included in the cost of your room and a nice menu for lunch and evening meals. Plus there is a lovely family run restaurant across the street serving the best homemade currys and fish (caught by the family), plus a few others in walking distance. Staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough to help! We will be back! "

"Lovely hotel was being repainted as we stayed just out of season. The pool and restaurant were great and the staff were very helpful. Be aware the hotel is a little remote from anything else out of season and there no real entertainment around out of season, however the area looks like it would be lively in the season but please note the hotel is still a fair walk to the next bar or hotel and 20 mins to the main strip so tuk tuk will be required "

"If you want a little time in a luxurious place with great service look no further! Stayed there a few days as a little treat for ourselves and we really enjoyed our time! On-site restaurant with attentive staff, good room service, wonderful swimming pool with a view and the owners live on site and are very kind people! Super close to Secret beach, a tuk tuk ride away from other great beaches... Recommend this place. Very new too so facilities are in great condition. "

"We loved our stay at coco tangalla. The staff was welcoming and kind and the location was amazing. The property is beautiful with a great pool and beautiful view of the beach (although you can’t swim there because of the rocks, but it’s great to watch crabs in the rock pools!) - food was very tasty (egg hoppers were especially good) and the room was comfortable and practical (not huge in itself but the bed was comfy and there was storage for our bags under the bed, and the bathroom was big). There was turndown service too which is always a nice touch. We’ll be back for sure! "

"If you're looking for a beach vacation with ocean views, this is not the spot. If you're looking for luxury, this is not where you should stay. However if you're looking to sleep somewhere with a mosquito net over your head, a place to shower and 2 minutes away from seeing turtles then this is the place for you. This hotel has the essential basic needs, bed, shower, mosquito net, towels, soap, toilet paper. I mention these, because if you're expecting a hotel that provides shampoo, lotions, a fridge or any other amenities, this is not the case. Service on the other hand is exceptional. The staff and everyone who works at the hotel is very kind and happy to accommodate our requests. The menu was varied, and we tried quite a few dishes and were pleased with all of them. If you're coming to see turtles on Rekawa beach, then book your stay here, it's literally a 2 min walk to the beach (we saw baby turtles making their way to sea, and mama turtles laying eggs in the evening). If however you don't care about seeing turtles, book elsewhere. The hotel is not close to much else, and there are no swimmable close by."
