Loved it. We wanted to stay in one of the cinque terre villages, but ended up here and we were SO glad. Take the ferry from Porto venere which is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Hotel staff will help you understand the ferry and times. Town of Porto Venere was one of our favorites.
Lovely place set in the mountain away from the noise of Cinqueterra. Michael and his wife and their staff were just awesome. Their restaurant was fabulous and an amazing breakfast was included. We had a first floor room so no steps yay! Michael made a great fire in the pit each night . A beautiful courtyard to enjoy drinks by the fire.

Albergo Serena is located up in the mountains with ~10 minutes of curvy roads, but the views are spectacular! Their facilities are somewhat new, it's looks like it used to be a house and they added some rooms but well planned. Their staff are friendly and attentive. To start communication was prompt and comprehensive. This out of the way hotel with its own private garden is far from the sounds of the city center and just a 2 minute walk from shops and dining. The room was clean and well laid out and the service was first rate. I was concerned about not having cell coverage to connect to their system, however it was not an issue.
