"Check in was very slow only 2 staff and a long queue and wait. I have not experienced that in a hotel before.
The shower in our room was only warm our daughters room was the same which was disappointing.
The bed was very comfortable and facilities were fine we didnt get chance to the pool."
"We arrived at our room (21613) to find the fridge was warm, and when we walked into the bathroom there was a very unpleasant odour. After spending about an hour with maintenance staff trying to resolve the issues, we were eventually moved to a new room.
The new room was much better overall, however the bathroom extraction fan was not working either. My only other concern was the cleanliness around the toilet area — the tiles on either side of the toilet clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly, as there was visible urine residue left from previous guests.
Breakfast at Eight Restaurant was also disappointing. My coffee order was forgotten, and after waiting around 40 minutes, I asked about it. I then watched the waiter flick back through several pages to find the order. Once it was finally made, it sat on the counter for several more minutes until I eventually went up and collected it myself.
The staff were polite and did try to help, but overall there seemed to be a lack of attention to detail with both housekeeping and service, which made the stay less enjoyable than expected."
