Princess Heights Luxury Boutique Condo Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful property. Spacious room, amazing ocean view, delicious breakfast.
Property quite secluded. Definitely must rent a car to get to and from property."
"We stayed at Sapphire Beach Resort in St. Maarten and unfortunately the first room we were given was very disappointing. It clearly needed renovation, everything looked old and scratched, there was no hot water, and the bathroom is in serious need of a full update. Even the fridge was very outdated and not appealing. This left us with a very negative first impression and affected our first day.
We requested to be moved and were given another room, which was much better. It appeared newly renovated, clean, and everything worked properly.
On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The view from the balcony overlooking the sea was beautiful, and we really enjoyed the beach. The cats around the property were also a nice touch.
Overall, the experience was mixed, the initial room was very poor, but the second room, along with the location, beach, and friendly staff, improved the stay significantly."
"Beautiful room … Royal Islander is an older resort but is definitely still amazing. First stayed here in 1989. Will return again.
Daily housekeeping a plus.
Only thing I dislike is using the small parking garage. Very tight spots and $8/day fee. "
"The view is to die for. When you first walk in you have to head down the hall to the view of a lifetime. The complex is an older condo building and sure it can use a new modern update but it is decent and has pretty well everything you need. I mean how much time do you want to stay inside. The staff there are super friendly. They make you feel very welcomed and safe. I would definitely go back"
"I would love to give 5 stars, the resort was nice, clean for the most part and food was good except for at The Mix, which we had to pay an extra $45 per person for as it was not included in our AI package.
The resort as a whole was very short staffed which caused all staff to be over worked and most not so friendly. Most staff members never smiled when approached whether it be at checkin or front desk in general, or at all restaurants and bars. There were a few exceptions where certain staff members were very friendly and always took care of us and that was only a few at the Pure Ocean restaurant."
