"Hotel is quirky, with fun decor. It is in a good area with some grand buildings, and restaurants.
Rooms not big and furniture squeezed in. Fine for us as overnight stop on long trip "
"Stayed in a suite that was very comfortable. Nice to have the extra space. Restaurant was nice and food of good quality, perhaps an extra waiter would have made it quicker.
Good location near the centre of the town.
We had a bonkers car with no roof, doors etc so secure parking was very important and this hotel has private underground. "
"Th property was gorgeous. Everything from The layout to the tranquil ponds and plants and the room design evoke luxury and relaxation. The staff for the most part were excellent. There was one rude lady checking us in for breakfast who chastised me for not speaking French. I hadn't spoken French in many years and had brushed up on some basic phrases, but she was speaking very fast and I couldn't understand her so I asked if she spoke English (all the other staff members did and were polite about it). She proceeded to lecture me and my husband about visiting a country and not speaking the language. Normally I would have given the attitude right back, but I didn't want anyone tampering with my food, and my 3 year old was already getting fussy. That was very inappropriate of the staffer. However, other than that it was a great experience."
"This is a beautiful hotel, set in a tranquil garden, with a lovely view. The staff members were helpful and very friendly, and the room was enormous, interesting and comfortable. We enjoyed being able to walk into town, and around the ramparts of the city. It’s a pity we had just one night, we would have liked to have stayed longer. Very good breakfast"
"Right across the river from the Musée de la Bande Dessinée! Requires a bit of an uphill hike to get to the center of town but there are also easy nearby bus stops to take you there. Service was fantastic, breakfast was tasty and the hotel is pretty neat. No AC though. "
"Not too bad but the car park is in a poor state and up the street from the hotel entrance .. which is not great when it is raining and you have to drag your luggage along uneven pavements and over bumps and potholes all while getting soaking wet."
"This is our second time staying here while driving from Netherlands to San Sebastian. The first time was so great we did it again and this time was even better. The staff is 10/10 amazing. Very patient with my bad French even thought they spoke English perfectly. Claire even spoke a good amount of Dutch. She checked us in and helped us with the menu and was overall a sparkling ray of sunshine. The dinner and drinks were great.
This is a classic motel. Clean, hot shower, comfy bed, fabulous staff, close to the highway. It is older but not in a bad way. It has character and is just a great place!"
Pierre & Vacances Résidence Les Rives de la Seugne
8/10 Good
"We were in overnight, arriving late and leaving early morning. The place looked very nice and welcoming - value for money at budget pricing. We got the rest we needed, despite the heat. We’ll try to be back again for a proper vacation. "
