Fintry from Dunmore The wood on the right conceals the small volcanic vent of Dunbeg, which takes its name (meaning 'small fort') from the prehistoric fort on its summit, just like Dunmore (meaning 'large fort'), on whose slopes I am standing. New housing on the outskirts of Fintry lies in the glen below, with the lava flows forming the Fintry Hills on the skyline.

"Fantastic location, very comfy bed, was surprisingly quiet despite being right by central station. Only thing that was annoying was the lights that time out so you have to keep getting up to have them come.back on - a pain when you're relaxing reading or watching tv after a busy day of touring around. Would be great to have option to turn the sensor on for continuous light. "
