"Room wasn't very clean, TV was tiny, tea facilities in wardrobe with no light and clearly there used to be a fridge but removed - Very disappointing. Spa was packed, no beds inside, jets area inside only a 1/3 of it worked. Breakfast was disappointing. I had 2 nights booked but didnt bother staying the second night. Wish I had saved the money and stayed in the Premier Inn behind it."

"Lovely Hotel, clean, friendly staff. Disappointed in the breakfast, looked at the menu online and was looking forward to some fresh eggs Benedict with salmon, instead it was a buffet breakfast with all the food under heat lights, so the eggs were like rubber, the bacon was very fatty, sausages dried out. Fruit juice sat in open jugs so was like room temperature and open to atmosphere. Would stay again but without the breakfast."

"Organised a surprise birthday party in the Abbott room-staff were excellent from start to finish. Good prices, food and service. Stayed two nights in a spacious room which was quiet at night considering the room overlooked Friar St. Had a wonderful weekend and will be back."

"I managed to get the last parking space available fortunately. The hotel is a mix of old and new. The older part is pleasant enough but the new rooms more recently built in a separate building are excellent. The food at The Burton is good. No complaints whatsoever. The thing that stood out though was the staff. They were all so helpful and welcoming. From the young lady who had just started at the hotel to the manager Jana, they were all exceptional."

"Awful experience. Left a day early as had no sleep due to faulty and noisy radiator. Hotel it self is run down and needs a good tidy up. Went to the bar for some drinks, no staff around and 80s cocktail bar music blaring, not a great atmosphere to relax and chat with friends. I emailed the hotel twice before we arrived and also once after our stay to complain. No reply on either times!! "
