"Staff were great and lots of parking options. Could maybe do with a refresh, a couple of cracked tiles in bathroom. Breakfast is 6:30-9:45, I went down at 9:25 and there was no hot breakfast left just beans and scrambled eggs and everything that was out was cold. When I asked if they were replacing they said breakfast is almost over so no. They would have been better saying breakfast is served until 09:30 if they don’t want to replace it after that, also limited cold options, no muffins left, no cardboard cups for takeaway coffee"

"The room was very comfortable and clean. Lovely big shower. The hotel was very nice and again very clean. Great bar. As you walk in to the reception it is very grand like walking into a beautiful Manor House. Breakfast was very nice with plenty to choose from. The problem I had was it said in the booking email they check in was 2pm. It isn’t it’s 3pm . So be careful."

"Simply cannot say enough good things about the George and the staff there! A wonderful old building so there are some oddly shaped corridors as you'd expect but they only add charm to what is already a fabulous location and venue. The room was clean, comfortable and I felt right at home the moment I got there. All the facilities you can expect in a hotel room. Bed was comfy, sheets were clean. The bathroom was clean and well put together given the limited space available. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and there was no shortage of options to suit everyone. I had the eggs benedict and felt set up and ready for the day ahead. But most of all the staff were exceptional. All were friendly, helpful and really easy to approach with queries. In particular they went out of their way to help me, nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend this place to anyone and would be happy to come again!"

Gray Manor Hotel

"We recently stayed at Gray Manor Hotel, and while the reception team was friendly and welcoming, the property itself is significantly run down and poorly maintained. The grounds are highly neglected, cluttered with dilapidated sheds, and covered in rubbish. Inside the room, the lifted laminate flooring was a genuine safety hazard. Furthermore, the room was incredibly hot with only a loud mini fan provided, and a constant, heavy mechanical noise from a pump ran all night, making it nearly impossible to sleep. The Wi-Fi was also highly unreliable, and the TV would not connect to any network. While the staff is doing their best, the hotel requires urgent attention regarding basic maintenance, safety, and hygiene. We ultimately had to check out early due to these conditions."
