"The Ordovician Hotel is a hidden gem on the peaceful west side of Isla Grande. From the moment we booked, the service was personal and seamless—thank you, Yohan! We were welcomed by name, greeted with a delicious tropical drink, and felt like cherished guests from start to finish.
We stayed in the Peacock Room, which had stunning views of the pool, restaurant, and beach. The room was beautifully curated, with luxurious bedding, high-end amenities, and thoughtful touches like a handwritten welcome card.
The food was phenomenal, fusing Panamanian flavors with Asian influences—fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable. Special thanks to Sebastián, Chef Stiven, and the entire team for making every meal a delight.
The outdoor massage on the yoga deck overlooking the ocean was magical, and we loved relaxing in the sauna, cold plunge, and hammocks under shaded palapas. We even extended our stay an extra day!
A heartfelt thank-you to Rick and Loan for their vision, presence, and commitment to uplifting Panamanian talent. This place is more than a hotel—it’s an experience of luxury, soul, and connection.

"Upon checkin, greet guests with amenities first, not rules or what they can't do. Just something I noticed. Nice clean grounds, pool, and peer. Room though small, was sufficient for the night. Slept well and loved the hammock. Again, clean grounds."
"Such a beautiful place! Lovely view and very close to access to the beach. 5 min small boats ride. Relaxing environment mixing mountain feeling and beach view. Very cozy for family of 2 kids. The people in charge there are exceptional! "
"We really liked that the staff was so helpful, friendly and outgoing especially to their non spanish speaking guests. The food was awesome, the beds so comfortable, the surroundings quiet and the views unbelievable. "
"I've booked for two nights. At arrival they couldn't find our reservation to begin with. After waiting for 45 minutes the gave us a key to a room on the 1 floor. My room was the last on the corridor who was/in service. The other rooms after my room were out of service and there were safety shoes outside the room next to the open doors. In the corridor to my room ware a lot a bags with food leftovers in there corner. They stayed there for more than 30 hours. Thats how long we manage to stay there. In the hotel stayed like 50 construction workers who made sure we knew that they were present. They watched tv with their doors open till late in the morning. After eleven o'clock we went to the reseption to ask if the could stop working so we can get a good night sleep. After have an hour, they stopped. That night I barricade my door with my luggage and slept with my razor under my pillow. I travel a lot, but I have never felt so unsafe in my life.
There was no hot water, no INTERNET, warderobe door was broken, toilet was broken but funtional. In the shower was no shower head installed. Just a pipe out of the wall. The sheets were worn-out and dirty. The only good thing were the towels. We were so dissapointed with the stay, that after lunch we booked a hotel in Panama City and drove back. "
