Hotel Fontanelle is in a small town. There is a superb restaurant (pizzeria notte) and the surrounding area is quintessential Italy. Just check your bus schedule, and be patient with the late arrivals.
Beautiful property, lovely personnel and pretty grounds. The only negative I have is that the gate at the road to the actual residential building is unmarked, unlit and several kilometers from the main gate (which is marked and lit at night), making a late night check in (in the dark) very difficult.
I am sure this is being addressed since that entrance appears very new.
It's as if we had stepped back in history. The room was so spacious! I chose it because of its quirkiness, I was stunned by the size. Regretted not having a longer stay. The breakfast seemed nice but we had not taken this option. Well situated. Easy walk to many of the shops, restaurants and sites.

The staff and hotel are amazing. The location was right in the heart of old city and easily walkable from train station and most of the world heritage sites. Highly recommend this hotel.
We had a very good time at this property. The hosts were very curteous and brought us a bottle of sparkling wine, the included breakfast was delicious (best cappuccinos we had!), and the apartment very clean and well stoked.
We loved this hotel in Cervia. I had a minor issue that required a dentist's attention. One of the owners kindly called the dentist to arrange a rush appointment. All the staff were great, and the convenience to the beach is wonderful
This was the most pleasant surprise on my trip. It's a local hotel but with the most inviting staff. The hotel was spotless, neat, organized. Breakfast was pure Italian which I love. Bathroom clean, nice towels and good wifi.
He recommended two restaurants which were fabulous. One for wine and appetizers and another for dinner. The best cappelletti I have ever tasted at La Gardella. Anyone who come to Ravenna must go there for dinner.
