"Originally, we chose Tivoli so we could travel to Rome for 3 days via a 30-minute train ride. But after 1 day in Rome (Vatican tour, other sites) we decided to spend the rest of our time in Tivoli. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Some of the finest eating we've ever experienced, at a Michelin Star restaurant called Sibilla. An entire day roaming the ruins of Emperor Hadrian's villa in lower Tivoli. Just exquisite. And our accommodations provided by our host, Filippo, were outstanding! He was so kind and helpful. He provided breakfast each morning, made us reservations and discounts at local restaurants, even walked us to the laundry mat and bus stop. And our room looked out over the city's central square. We couldn't; imagine a better vacation."
