The price was very reasonable and we would stay there next time we go skiing in Lake Placid. We used the pool as well but would prefer a hottub jacuzzi after a long day of skiing. "

"My boys and I had a great weekend at Whiteface Lodge. It's conveniently located to the local sites. When not seeing all the great things Lake Placid has to offer, we felt right at home at the lodge. With the game room, movie theater, pool and roasting marshmallows over the campfire, we have terrific memories of our stay. Looking forward to coming back again. "

We had to check in and out at the High Peaks Resort which is infront of Lake House. It was snowy in January so it was as expected. It was mushy and all but we love the whole set up. "perfect place to stay! this is like a small one bedroom apartment/cabin comes with a cozy bedroom, amazing bathroom and separate dining and living area. we enjoyed our stay!!"

"Came up to winter hike some of the high peaks and this was a perfect spot. Very clean, seamless check-in/out, straight to the point motel. One of the better options out of the lot to choose from in Lake Placid. Will be staying here again. "

"We booked the small "Balsam" Cabin at Wilderness Inn which is a very cozy cottage in the woods. Even if its getting colder there is a fire place and a well working heating. We felt welcome right from the start. Everything was arranged with care: matches for the fireplace, coffee capsules, sufficient towels. In addition, the location is excellent next to Whiteface Mountain and High Falls Gorge. "

"High Peaks Resort is on the main street through Lake Placid, putting it within walking distance of a broad seletion of restaurants, bars and shops. We had a balcony view, but never looked outside because it was usually dark by the time we got back from skiing. The pool and jacuzzi also looked nice, but we never got a chance to try it out. Staff was friendly."

Being that we were primarily there to ski at Whiteface, it was a short 15 minute drive. Everything in the town of Lake Placid is within minutes. Would highly recommend!"
