"We began our stay in Ischia recuperating from the trip at Samiramis. We moved Albergo Macri as a home base for day trips around Ischia and to Naples, Pozzuoli and the Amalfi Coast. We were very conveniently located to take ferries and buses for those day trips. There is an excellent restaurant just down the block, and many more around the port and further into Ischia Porto. The owners were very hospitable. Excellent value. "

"Staff and grounds are beautiful views of the Gulf of Naples are amazing. You're high in the mountains and make sure you get a cab to go exploring the town of Ischia as it is beautiful. The restaurant at the hotel is great and they have a wonderful spa including thermal pools and you can request massage the massage person is fabulous and the prices are great highly recommend this hotel"

"All the family were very hospitable. They even carried our heavy suitcases up 2 flights of stairs. Breakfast was excellent. They introduced us to the Ischian cornetto- an extra special pastry that combines brioche and a croissant. Bedroom was spacious but on a noisy road and bed was rather firm but ok for a few nights. Basic accommodation only 10mins to the port on a bus. "

"Property was located half way between Ischia port and Ischia center making the walk to either very easy. Also the property was one block from bus stop. Two swimming pools on premises - one was thermal. Staff was friendly and helpful and spoke English. The included breakfast had a large selection of items including fresh pastries. I highly recommend this property."

"We chose this hotel for the views, thermal pool and the beachside access. The area was quiet and only 10 minute bus ride from the Ischia port or a 35 minute walk if you’re up for it. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was really nice- especially with the castle views. The room decor was ‘old world charm’ but was very clean. "This is the perfect lodging for your stay in Ischia. It's a short drive from the Ischia marina, where the ferry drops you off, but the public bus (less than 3€ a ride) is right outside of the hotel to get you back to the Ischia Marina where there are countless bars and restaurants, as well as the main shopping on the island, or to Fario where you unlock another world of the island. So convenient! The hotel staff themselves are so accommodating, as well. The staff during our stay didn't speak...

"Hotel a conduzione familiare a pochi passi dal mare, dalla fermata degli autobus (molto efficienti sull’Isola) e da due centri termali molto rinomati (per i quali la struttura fornisce sconti). Accolti da un ragazzo molto cordiale che ci ha illustrato la zona e la struttura (priva di ascensore), accompagnandoci fino in camera. La camera che avevamo scelto con vista mare si presenta luminosa e ampia, con arredi non nuovissimi e con bagno finestrato. La vera chicca della camera è l’ampio terrazzo...
