"We stayed at Islander Inn for a bachelorette trip specifically because of the advertised pool and swim-up bar amenities. Before arriving, I called the day before check-in because it was early in the season and temperatures were only around 70 degrees. I was told the pool would not be open due to the weather. However, when we arrived, it became clear that the issue was not weather at all — the entire pool and swim-up bar area was under heavy construction and essentially torn apart. We paid full price for a hotel that heavily advertises these amenities, yet they were completely unavailable during our stay. This should have been clearly disclosed before booking or at minimum before arrival. To make matters more frustrating, other nearby hotels had their pools open, including the hotel directly next to us, so the explanation we were given felt misleading. The rooms themselves were clean, and the hotel overall was decent aside from this issue. However, we were also charged overnight parking fees, which felt excessive considering visitors already have to pay to park virtually everywhere on the island. Overall, the lack of transparency about the construction and unavailable amenities was very disappointing, especially for a trip planned around the pool atmosphere."

"Parking was easy and the cabin description was misleading. Three queen size beds and sleeps 10? the lofts each had a queen size matress on a box and ceiling was 3 feet high so midget style. sleeps 10 but three chairs at a short counter and no table. We made it work but description was misleading"

"The property was cute and quaint. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved everything about it except the loud music that played until close to 1 am. It was so loud you could not hear the tv. Our room was in the second floor so we are not sure if it was the rooftop bar or the venue across the street."
