We stayed in a standard room in the main building and it was so lovely! The breakfast was awesome and the walk down to the village was convenient. This hotel has a lovely restaurant attached with great food. Zaros Lake is just around the corner. My favorite part was the spring water running down the side of the road. A very lovely village to visit on your trip around Crete.
Beautiful grounds, pool and vistas. Very friendly staff, and breakfast was very good. Just be aware you’re driving narrow country roads to get up to the property, about 1/2 mile outside Archanes. We’d do it again without hesitation, but probably not with the unit we booked. It had a loft bedroom with steep stairs and low ceiling height for half the loft. Fine for shorter folks or younger people. Not ideal at age 70.
We initially had booked 2 nights here and had fortunately not booked any of our 3 remaining nights in Crete. As soon as we stepped foot in the place, we immediately booked another 2 nights. The house was amazing! It had a full kitchen, loft, wooden spiral staircase, 2 bathrooms, and 2 balconies. The village itself was very quaint and friendly with exceptional views of the surrounding countryside. The local restaurant had delicious traditional food at inexpensive prices and a great balcony view...
A big reason to come to Crete and stay in Heraklion is Captain Napoleon. Fantastic breakfast included, wonderful rooftop views, nice pool, good room with balcony, not far from the airport and ferries, and best of all the staff went truly above and beyond to make our stay and vacation great.
Our stay was fantastic!! A new beautifully designed modern hotel with such amazing attention to every detail. It is a small family-owned business and you are indeed treated like family. Great overall. Parking was limited but available. Room was great and spacious for a family of 5. Selected the licataion because it was close to Knossos site but a little bit removed from the old town center. Great property.
Convenient location to museum; walking distance to all; very helpful staff, easy parking, very modern "high tech" building and we needed guidance for operating AC among other things; so ask your questions. We had 2 sinks and showers( !) an additional perk; I would recommend screens for windows to be able to open them. gym was a nice addition.
We were meeting my family for a holiday. The resort is in a close proximity to the airport (15-20 min drive), which is very nice, especially if you have smaller children. The property is clean and well maintained. We have stayed on the bungalow side. The rooms are decent size. Accommodations are a bit smaller in Europe, so we were not surprised. The rooms very clean a new cozy:) the property have three pools: one adult pool, where you can participate in aqua-aerobics, middle pool, and a smaller...

Front desk was closed upon arrival and departure due to late night/early morning arrivals and departures so we was asked to leave 2 euros for nightly “environmental fee”, we left the 2 euros as asked and was still charged on our invoice for the fee. I know 2 euros isn’t much but taking the cash and still charging us is not right in our opinion

Very nice clean property while staying at Heraklion, staff was always very helpful especially with parking, great location close to port and not too far from airport. Property was conveniently located near lots of places to eat and walking distance to ocean to watch amazing sunsets.
