We had a fantastic stay at the Kefalonia Grand Hotel. The rooms were beautiful, the location excellent, and the staff (especially Marika) went above and beyond!
Fantastic apartment with good soundproofing / adherance to quiet hours. This is not a hotel; during your stay you are responsible for keeping your space clean. Our room was sparkling upon arrival, with a gorgeous view of the mountain across from us. Our host was very considerate and even let us try some of her homemade wine.
The apartments were walking distance from several phenomenal restaurants. The beach I would not recommend walking to. The distance is small but the incline is massive....
Great hotel with just 60 rooms spread over a hillside just outside Fiskardo (an easy 10 minute walk by day, with regular free shuttles available in the morning and evening). Our room had a stunning view and easy access to a small pool shared by 4 rooms (plus two larger pools open to all). The staff and very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast buffet is lovely and when weather permits, starting the day with a coffee on the balcony of the hotel restaurant is lovely....

Stavros at Ballas Apartments was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and communicative. The room was basic, but very clean, bed comfortable, it's in an absolutely perfect location with spectacular views. There's private off street parking, and a veranda overlooking the ocean and port. It's close to restaurants, but far enough away from "town" to be quiet. I slept with the balcony door open to let the sounds of water lull me to sleep.
