"Hotel Grao Vasco is truly a historic hotel. Pedro from sales gave a very friendly guided tour of the property and spoke with us about the wonderful past that Hotel Grao Vasco has. This is stylish sixties but maintained beautifully and still run by the family that built the hotel. Go to Viseu and enjoy! The hotel had comfortable beds, it is centrally located near the old city center and the staff was very welcoming. Pedro in particular was kind, helpful and proud of the hotel. It was refreshing...

"Beautiful area and lots of potential to be an exclusove spot but unfortunately it disappointed in many ways, from the restaurant which serves overcooked food that does not have balanced flavors to the staff that seems like they do not want to be there and finally the facilities, especially the “spa area” which consists of two 60C “saunas” and a 35C “steam” room."

The area offers lovely countryside and places to explore and the hotel pool is very nice if you just want relax and read a book. "
