"We stayed at 6 different accommodation during our recent trip to Japan, and Hotel Obokekyo Mannaka was the best among them. The service was exceptional, and the room was well appointed, very comfortable and clean. All staff were forthcoming and friendly, and they went all the way to attend to our needs and make us feel at home (There is an instant translator at the lobby counter to help overcome language barrier – a thoughtful touch indeed). We went for half-board and both the breakfast and dinner are good. They change the menu daily so there are no worries about repetition of dishes. We were lucky that we stayed for two nights and got to experience four scrumptious and very special meals (In fact, we liked the dishes on the second day even more). The hotel was just a short walk to the scenic boat ride, making it easy for us to arrive early to beat the crowd (the hotel also provides discount coupons for the boat ride). Overall, a memorable stay and we highly recommend this hotel."
