The hotel is stunning!!
We were traveling for a very special occasion, and the hotel sent us a special gift that consisted of three sets of chopsticks, cookies, and a voucher for a drink at their beautiful bar. This was very thoughtful, and we really appreciated it.
There were 6 bottles of water refilled every morning and a ton of high-quality facial products, including bath salts for the tub. The location of this hotel is fantastic, close to everything, including the metro.
The staff here are the most welcoming and hospitable that I’ve ever encountered. This is our second time visiting the Setre Naramachi Hotel as a couple and it’s been nothing short of an absolute delight. The rooms are luxurious and spacious. The location is conveniently next to a station so traveling around Japan was easy to do. We can’t wait to come back!
Great place and great service. Check in can take a while when there is a line. They need a better way to do that. Otherwise, very happy with the location and the hotel is modern and the rooms are convenient. You can hear the train if you get a lower level room so I recommend a higher floor if that bothers you.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. My favorite part was that the deer walk right up to the hotel from Nara park! It is a lovely, clean hotel, and there is a coin washing machine if you need it. The location is close to food areas, also.
The property seems to be recently updated, it is modern, and clean. The amenity is lacking a few things (for example, it tells the guest to wash dishes and put them away but doesn’t provide a clothe to dry them). Also, the instruction isn’t super clear. The instruction reads to leave the key on the table when checking out (that’s what it says literary in English), when in fact you need to lock and put the key in the lockbox as one example. Also the road to access the property is quite narrow...
Excellent property in a quiet neighborhood near Nara Park. Daily time slots for private onsen rooms were offered for free with our stay, which was a great surprise!
