"The Rose and Crown is a little inn just above Porthcawl. It’s old, and charming, and the rooms are in need of a little bit of updating—-new carpet would go a long way! But the beds were very comfortable, it met our needs, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. We had a light dinner there, and it was delicious."

"Beautiful boutique hotel. Hard to know where to start, property itself is stunning, decor in all areas is excellent. On arrival reception staff were very welcoming and informative. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Bar is good, prices reasonable and excellent choice. Spa is well appointed. Fantastic evening meal in Blok restaurant, food superb, staff attentive, informative and friendly. Breakfast also very good, again staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. "Location was great to visit the Niece who is studying nearby and to head into Cardiff for the rugby. Public transport is well placed - a bus stop nearby took us into Pontypridd for parkrun and also the Trehafod train station for getting to Cardiff. We are at the restaurant and the food was delicious and highly recommend. Staff were welcoming and friendly. "
