"Very relaxed stay. Short walk from station or book a taxi for a small fee if you have luggage. Ruriko-in temple and Mt Hiei cable car station is very close with lots of hiking and walking trails. Dinner was very nice and staff were super friendly. Special thanks to Hotel Manager Mr Koichi and all staff for making our stay an enjoyable one."

"It’s a great little hotel in a very quiet part of Kyoto. If you wish to get away from all the crowds and just experience how the locals live, this is a hotel for you. We had a room with a private onsen bath, which was just perfect at the end of all the sightseeing. Special thanks to the staff, who went above and beyond to make us feel very comfortable. "Super location and quiet room with real Japanese style bed on floor. Practical for trips into town or further since bus stops are right beside the building. Locally within walking distance there are ramen restaurants also temples and the Philosophers path. Suited me perfectly as I don't spend much time in hotel I like to be out taking photos. If I visit Kyoto again I would love to stay here again."

The hotel is next door to the Imperial Palace and a tube station so it is well located to explore the city. There are numerous places to eat nearby from very affordable to eye-wateringly expensive.
