“Lovely welcome from the landlady. We ate our evening meal on arrival a d the food was delicious. Had a lovely stay and yummy breakfast. Will definitely return”
“Spacious room and great price. Ample parking but can park on street park. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean but needs repainting. Would stay again.”
“Superb period accomodation.
Faultless service. Exceptional food.
Fascinating art works in the garden walks. Treat yourself to a chauffeur driven Rolls Royce tour of North Wales”
“This was our third family visit to the Plas yn Dre. The B&B is central to Bala and well situated for visiting the Bala Lake Railway. This visit was to its usual high standards - from easy parking to a comfortable and spacious family room. The facilities are clean and well maintained. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal at the pub and a welcome good night’s sleep. Breakfast was delicious and filling, with a good choice available of the menu. The friendly staff were the standout feature of the visit.……
“We had a wonderful stay for my 50th birthday! There was everything we could of wished for, for our stay, we didnt need to take anything. It was very clean, beautifully laid out, felt like home and peaceful and with beautiful views. Perfect get away in a peaceful and beautiful part of Wales with so much to do nearby. 100% recommend. We also got to see alpacas and peacocks which was just so lovely, we were so lucky.”
“Two nights stay at the Wild Pheasant hotel in Llangollen combined with steam train trip. Ideally situated ( 10 minutes walk into town centre) alongside the river Dee”
“Had an amazing time. The apartment was in great location with off rd car park around the back of property. Very spacious apartment for 2 and was spotless and had everything you need for a break away.
The Blue Lion was just across road. The staff were very friendly and very welcoming.
The locals made us feel like it was our local pub we made new friends for life iam sure.
The pub served excellent food and nothing was too much trouble.
Will be returning there soon hopefully.”
“You couldn't ask for a more perfectly situated hotel in Llangollen. It's an old building, so don't expect it to be pristine, but it has plenty of character.”
“No complaints at all.
The WiFi tv takes a while to understand but thanks to Beatrice we got there.
The bed size is perfectly adequate and the bed comfortable but we have a very large bed at home so our ‘free’ space was a little limited.
We shall certainly visit again. An idyllic place to stay.”
“Nice quiet and clean sheltered cottage with dedicated little drive. We spent two days it was really nice it would be even nicer with good weather so you can have your tea outside in the garden. Don't follow the google pin it takes you nowhere but the owner will happily give yuo right directions we were guided by a friendly local farmer.”
“Property was really central to grocery stores and the riverside park. Easy to walk to so many areas of Llangollen. Property somewhat worn and needs a good paint job but wear and tear is understandable on a place that sees so many holiday makers. Great location, largish cottage with nice views from upstairs windows.”
“I'm afraid that we're extremely disappointed with the state if this property. It smells of damp and water ingress everywhere, with stains and skirting hanging off, there's an overpowering smell
and generally uncleandownstairs bedroom. I'm not sure how you can charge for this.
