"Dumbara Park Residence is a wonderful hotel for daily travel in Kandy. It’s very convenient and located right in the centre of the city. The rooms are clean, and the staff are extremely kind and helpful. The rooftop restaurant is amazing. It’s also just a 10‑minute drive to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Dalada Maligawa). My next visit Kandy again, I will definitely choose Dumbara Park Residence. "

"Great place to stay in Kandy! Rooms are clean, comfortable, and shower is great. Staff are true professionals and definitely want you to have a great stay. Hotel is perched atop hill just outside of town. Plenty of nice restaurants nearby and the town is a nice 20 stroll down the hill. Staff hooked us up with a great driver for day trip to Sigiriya. Great place to stay!"

"Hotel was comfortable, safe, and they had onsite driver accommodations (apparently a thing in Sri Lanka). We didn't get to stay here long enough, and there was a festival that made the streets incredibly crowded. I wish we had the chance to explore the area more, however we made our way down (per the hotel's recommendation) to dinner at Hideout Lounge, and then back to the hotel. "A reasonably priced hotel. Staff were helpful and kind. From the main road to the hotel roads are narrow and winding, understandably since Kandy is a hill country city. "

"Good place to stay in Kandy. Walking distance to most attractions. Unfortunately hotel has NO lifts and being 4 stories may prove difficult for some. Wide stairs and port service does overcome this but could be better. This should be highlighted in advertising. Breakfast buffet excellent, with evening meals available. Great view over Kandy spoilt a little by substandard building close next door. Hotel unlicensed for alcohol but I understand this is being addressed."
