"Our stay was amazing. The hospitality that we received made us feel welcome and comfortable. The staff communicated with us regarding dinner, and even though we arrived late to the hotel, they did their best to accommodate us. The hotel is located above Shirakawa-Go and you truly feel the nature as you are completely away from touristic locations. The wooden interior provides a rural charm that relaxes you. "We did not realize that dinner and breakfast was not included even though it said kaiseki meal in the description. One of the nearby restaurants was closed and the other would not seat foreigners. The staff did offer to call us a taxi to take us to a restaurant 10 minutes away, but we ended up eating snacks from the hotel store for dinner. Luckily we were able to add on breakfast the following morning. But our room was wonderful, staff was helpful, and the property was gorgeous."
