"Budget friendly pension, you get what you pay for. If you're just there to ski, want to save money, and don't care for a fancy place or amenities. Room was decently spacious, we had a quad room 2 beds with 2 more beds with the loft so could fit up for 4 people. Pros: Walkable to Goryu Ski Resort, there are a couple of bars/restaurants within 2 minutes of walking. There is a place to store your skis/snowboard equipment and its a heated room so your items can dry. The owners will cook for you...

"Quite possibly one of the hidden gems of Hakuba Goryu. If you want the true Hakuba local experience and taken back in time, this is your spot. No frills and feel like you are staying with your relatives. Amazing hosts that go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. As for proximity to Goryu base, we walked it back (10 mins) at the end of every day so it’s very close. "A beautiful tucked away spot in Hakuba! The surrounding forest was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the main resorts. About 15min walk to Goryu or they can take you in the shuttle. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and accommodated for, also a lovely spot focusing around keeping your dogs happy and taken care of. Spacious cabin feel and a decent restaurant with some nice options :) I would recommend this to anyone visiting in the winter or summer"

"Ski in ski out location. Fantastic hotel with large rooms and indoor fire pit. Staff were extremely helpful. Having a vehicle is preferable to go to and from town but they do run a shuttle Service free of charge."

"The location can't be beaten. The staff are wonderful and the rooms are clean and comfortable, they're also bigger than other's I've stayed in while in Japan. The complimentary bus to the supermarket is a great added bonus. Also keep an eye out for the troupe of Snow Monkeys that are often in the trees just below the apartment complex on the piste edge. "
