"Shangri-La Tainan — although the facilities are somewhat dated compared with other five-star Shangri-La hotels, the staff are outstanding and the service is highly professional. "Very professional and high end hotel to stay in Tainan. I can't say it was conveniently located, but everything is farther away in Tainan. And easiest transportation is taxi anyway in this city. I judge a hotel by its bathrooms, and this hotel is emasculate with even rain fall shower! There's a small gym, swimming pool, and laundry on the roof all very well managed and clean. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Tainan. "

"I was glad we had a mandarin speaker with us to call the proprietor when we arrived as we didnt know what to do when everything was locked up. But once we called and he arrived, it was an awesome place to stay. Loved the location in historic Tainan (only street parking a couple blocks away available) and all four of us found it very roomy with a nice shared sitting area/kitchen outside our private room. And free snacks upon arrival. I hope to stay there again some day!"
