"Very clean rooms, and awesome food "

"The hotel is old and the room, while well-equipped with a good shower, was not clean. Window sills, fridge seals, and the carpet were dirty. The bedding didn't look fresh, and we had to cover the pillows with our own shirts to sleep. On the plus side, all the staff were excellent and the restaurant food was good. It was the cheapest in the area, so the cost-benefit was ok."

"The property has the most wonderful views from its elevated position. The driveway is steep - but worth it. Imagine beautiful sunsets in front of a roaring fire on the deck in autumn - that’s what we got. (Not sure if the owners arranged the sunsets, but the fire & indoor wood burner were ready to light.) Kitchen was stocked with choice of cereals plus milk & juice for breakfast plus other nice touches. There were many appliances & cookware options and a BBQ to boot. Bathroom & kitchen were very clean, but allergies were triggered in the bedroom (maybe dusty curtains?). Local wildlife in the garden was an added bonus. Smithton is located in the north-west, close to the Tarkine drive & Stanley. It has grocery stores & coffee shops making this a great property to base yourself for a few days or just as a romantic getaway. "
